Oscars Tonight

Tonight is a big night! The Oscars will be happening in a few hours, so I got to do as much reading before that. It is no secret that I have been rooting for Slumdog Millionaire( in my opinion an instant classic). I cannot wait to see my barely legal husband, Dev Patel tonight. Fun fact his parents are from Kenya(Hey now). It should be a good show and not much a bore as last years. The host is the talented and sexiest man alive (according to People) Hugh Jackman. I still do not understand why Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens will be performing at the Oscars( this is a show that honors the creme of the creme in acting, not in spray tanning). Ha Ha, I made a funny! I am hoping that Kate Winslet finally picks up a trophy for Best Actress. She was incredible in The Reader but I will be happy if Meryl Streep wins as well(she really is the HBIC when it comes to acting). I am hoping that The Curious Case of Benjamin Button picks up so awards as well. I loved that movie, it really pulled my heart strings. I think the trickiest category has to be best supporting actress. All the nominees are worthy of the award. Penelope Cruz was hilarious, Amy Adams was just phenomenal, Viola Davis was a scene stealer and Tarajj P. Henson was the heart and soul of Button. Well I will probably post later on about my thoughts of the big night.

The List: The Sexiest Men 2013 Edition

It is becoming a little bit of a tradition here on Confessions that during the month of love I unveil my list of men that continue to rock my world. Considering how successful my last list was the only responsible thing for me to do is officially declare that this tradition will live on. If you are curious to see how last year's list differed from this year here it is  My Little Valentines . This year my list is a little different. First of all, it did not feel right to narrow it down to 100. So below you will see a list composed of 110 men. I have included men that not only I find incredibly good looking but men that have enamored me with their talent and their wit. My list is in alphabetical order besides my top ten. If there is an asterisk behind their name that means they are newbies to the list. Let me know who you think is incredibly good looking.

What Can You Do Now?

This past week has been a dark chapter in American history. Over 100,000 American lives were lost to COVID-19.  On Memorial Day, in the city of Minneapolis George Floyd was murdered by four police officers. His death sparked a nation wide outrage. If you would like to know the ways you can support the movement please take a look at this website.  https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/#   It will give you ways you can help. You can sign petitions, donate, find contact information for officials in Minneapolis and find out ways to participate in peaceful protests.  This would also be a good time to register to vote, if you have not done so already. Besides remaining informed, I would advise you all to take care of your health during this difficult time. Make sure you take time to remain both physically and mentally strong.  Keep yourself hydrated. Take your vitamins. Meditate. Pray. Find ways to find joy. It is also a good time to reach out to love ones.  Be safe and be kind to yourself.
