Unbeknownst to Diana, Ashmole 782 is a manuscript believed to contain important clues about the past and the future of several supernatural creatures. Soon Diana's discovery leads hordes of witches, vampires and daemons to descend upon the Bodeleian's reading rooms. Among these creatures is the sexy Matthew Clairmont, a dark and mysterious geneticist who happens to be a vampire. Diana and Matthew embark on a journey to understand the secrets of the manuscript but their newfound friendship begins to unravel the long existing peace between humans and creatures.

A Discovery of Witches caught my attention as soon as I viewed its' cover at Barnes & Nobles. I was tickled to find out that my local library had the book in stock. When I begin reading the book I was pleased to find that it was a smooth read. The pages are rather long and filled with intense detail. I found myself taking longer to read a page than usual. The characters are well fleshed out and the chemistry between the two lead characters explodes from the pages. It is a grown and sexy novel with tons of historical tidbits for history buffs like myself. I was constantly on the edge of my seat wondering how things were going to turn out.

If you are looking for a book full of adventure, suspense, little romance mixed with history and sprinkled with magic A Discovery of Witches is the perfect book for you.

It is becoming a little bit of a tradition here on Confessions that during the month of love I unveil my list of men that continue to rock my world. Considering how successful my last list was the only responsible thing for me to do is officially declare that this tradition will live on. If you are curious to see how last year's list differed from this year here it is  My Little Valentines . This year my list is a little different. First of all, it did not feel right to narrow it down to 100. So below you will see a list composed of 110 men. I have included men that not only I find incredibly good looking but men that have enamored me with their talent and their wit. My list is in alphabetical order besides my top ten. If there is an asterisk behind their name that means they are newbies to the list. Let me know who you think is incredibly good looking.

What Can You Do Now?

This past week has been a dark chapter in American history. Over 100,000 American lives were lost to COVID-19.  On Memorial Day, in the city of Minneapolis George Floyd was murdered by four police officers. His death sparked a nation wide outrage. You can sign petitions, donate, find contact information for officials in Minneapolis and find out ways to participate in peaceful protests.  This would also be a good time to register to vote, if you have not done so already. Besides remaining informed, I would advise you all to take care of your health during this difficult time. Make sure you take time to remain both physically and mentally strong.  Keep yourself hydrated. Take your vitamins. Meditate. Pray. Find ways to find joy. It is also a good time to reach out to love ones.  Be safe and be kind to yourself.
