Followers of my blog know that I'm loyal viewer of American Idol and a huge fan of season 12 runner-up Kree Harrison. When I am a fan of someone I like to keep up to date on their various activities. I'm not  a stan for anyone, it takes too much energy. Do you really need to know every aspect of their personal life? Do you really have to know what hotel they are staying at? I just want to know when your next film or record is coming out. I was even accused of being a terrible Backstreet Boys fan because I did not know everything about them. Out of the "so called" fans I am the only one that has all of their records and supported them non stop for 16 years. I am not here to talk about my love for Backstreet Boys, that would take a lifetime. After a harsh winter, I find myself in the midst of spring. I have planted seeds and I await for them to come to bloom. The unforgiving winter winds and blistering cold may be long gone but they whisper on my breath. Now as I await my summer I wonder if my winter was as bad as I believed it to be. In the darkness I watch the sun rise and set. All alone I wonder if today will be the first day of summer. Along this journey I have experienced detours and roadblocks. At times there were paths that disappeared from my horizon. Sometimes I wonder if I only dreamed of them. Call it stupidity or call it optimism, I have complete faith that all the fruits of my labor will come to light. It is the wait that causes me grief. Waiting for the indication that the winds have changed and my season has arrived. The season of the midnight sun. The season where butterflies fly during the day and fireflies light the skies at night. I am ready for the summer of my life. One thing I do know is that ...

Last night the third ( arguably the best) season of  Game of Thrones  came to a close. I had prepared myself for the emotional toll this episode would endure after failing to take precautions for episode nine. Precaution I won't go into much details about what transpired because I hate spoilers and I am still in recovery. I am pretty sure that I am still in denial even though my sea of tears say otherwise.  For those of us that lived through episode nine, I am sending a huge cyber hug because that was absolutely brutal. It was worse than the ninth episode of season one. Remember folks for next season to have survival kit prepared when the ninth episode airs. In all honesty I was a little disappointed by the season finale but it left a perfect backdrop for season four. I am excited about  what is to come next season. If you have not caught a single episode of Game of Thrones , now is the perfect time to watch one of the best television shows on air.

Prepare yourself for perfection. I am having heart palpitations as we speak right now. Earlier today the fabulous Will Smith returned to The Graham Norton Show. He pulled out all stops bringing DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribeiro on the stage. I have died and gone to heaven. Now it's time for y'all to follow me to the afterlife. 

This is a continuation of my previous post . We are down to the final two, Candice and Kree. This has been my dream finale since the Vegas rounds. Candice's voice is like a musical instrument. She plays with it like it's a saxophone. She has great musicality,  her performance of Lovesong and You've Changed are standouts. I never once doubted she would be in the top 2. If she wins on Thursday it will be a well deserved win. I hope she releases a jazz infused album. You do not understand how much I need that album in my life. I hope this is the direction she takes her talent. She is too talented to not be successful. If anyone questions whether she deserves to be in the top 2, they need to have their ears cleaned. Kree is such an interesting story for me. I don't remember her before the Vegas rounds. In my defense her audition never aired, she was not a main focus during the group rounds and I missed her solo performance during Hollywood week. When she was introd...
