I should be sleeping

I should be sleeping but I am too wired to go to bed right now. I thought it would be good to let out some of my frustration via writing. So i was looking at trending topics on Twitter when I spotted "you lie" there. Out of curiosity I decided to check it out. It was a trending topic that started from Rep Joe Wilson yelled out "You Lie" during President Obama address to the congress. I watched his speech and found it to be phenomenal. I thought wow, how I am lucky to see such a great man be a leader of such a great country. When I heard the 'you lie' yell I first thought someone said "why?' so I was a little confused. When I realized that the person yelled out lie, I just had to roll my eyes. Seriously, that is disrespectful. Telling your president that he is a liar. Who does this guy think he is? Obviously he is ...you know since I have nothing nice to say I am not going to say anything. I am just frustrated and angry right now. What is wrong with people? President Obama can not do anything right. They have to pick a bone with him for everything. There is a need to create health reform. Instead of trying to destroy it before it sees the light of day why don't we try to help the president to create a great policy that helps our nation.
I try my best not to claim a party because historically both parties have wronged black folks. So I just look at the candidates and think which ones will best fit what I stand for. Lately I have just been turned off by members of the Republican party, to the point I get a weird feeling when I meet someone who calls themselves a republican. I know that not all Republicans are bad but there are some(most likely a small minority) that are a little misguided. CAN WE JUST GET ALONG!

The List: The Sexiest Men 2013 Edition

It is becoming a little bit of a tradition here on Confessions that during the month of love I unveil my list of men that continue to rock my world. Considering how successful my last list was the only responsible thing for me to do is officially declare that this tradition will live on. If you are curious to see how last year's list differed from this year here it is  My Little Valentines . This year my list is a little different. First of all, it did not feel right to narrow it down to 100. So below you will see a list composed of 110 men. I have included men that not only I find incredibly good looking but men that have enamored me with their talent and their wit. My list is in alphabetical order besides my top ten. If there is an asterisk behind their name that means they are newbies to the list. Let me know who you think is incredibly good looking.

What Can You Do Now?

This past week has been a dark chapter in American history. Over 100,000 American lives were lost to COVID-19.  On Memorial Day, in the city of Minneapolis George Floyd was murdered by four police officers. His death sparked a nation wide outrage. If you would like to know the ways you can support the movement please take a look at this website.  https://blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/#   It will give you ways you can help. You can sign petitions, donate, find contact information for officials in Minneapolis and find out ways to participate in peaceful protests.  This would also be a good time to register to vote, if you have not done so already. Besides remaining informed, I would advise you all to take care of your health during this difficult time. Make sure you take time to remain both physically and mentally strong.  Keep yourself hydrated. Take your vitamins. Meditate. Pray. Find ways to find joy. It is also a good time to reach out to love ones.  Be safe and be kind to yourself.
