Spring Favorites: I Don't Like It. I Love it!

1. Maxwell-Lake by the Ocean

I've been waiting seven years for a new song from this amazing artist.  He did not disappoint. This song has blessed my ears.


2. DareDevil
I just started watching and I am obsessed. The pilot sucked me in. It is 1000x better than the movie adaptation. It shall hold me over till Game of Thrones returns.

3. Zayn- Mind of Mine
Zayn released his first solo record a few weeks ago and I am obsessed. My favorite tracks are Truth, Rear view, Drunk, Befour, She, Pillow Talk, and Fool for You.

Now that the hype has died down, it is the perfect opportunity to buy this record. This boy needs to be smashing records. He is the real deal.

4. FKA Twigs- Good to Love

I should be used to FKA twigs releasing masterpieces by now but I'm not.

5. American Idol

This juggernaut came to a close last week and I am emotional. It was incredible to see some of my favorites grace the screen one more time.  Here are some tracks from Idol alumni that I have on repeat.

  • Paul McDonald- Once You Were Mine
    • This song is heartbreaking. I have always loved Paul's voice and he has a great recording voice.  Stream it and buy this 
  • Pia Toscano- Pyro
    • Did this song go missing in the 90's? I hope it becomes a hit for her. It is my new bop. 
  • Kree Harrison- This Old Thing
    • Kree is my favorite contestant that ever graced the Idol stage. Her and Elliott Yamin were the greatest loves of my life.  I am excited for where she will go in her career. This girl right here is destined to be the Norah Jones or Adele of Country Music.

Moving on, starting fresh

I DID IT! I graduated college! All the sleepless nights, pulling of the hair and crying myself to sleep have paid off, I now have my college diploma. Now that I have ended one successful chapter in my life I am looking forward to embarking on the next one. I am looking forward to igniting the flame inside of me and turning it into a full blown bonfire. I am not sure what the future holds but I cannot wait to find out. When I was five I never thought I was going to live in Tunisia or Mozambique for that matter. I never would have imagined that if I put my mind to it I could study abroad in Australia nor did i think I would go to college in upstate New York. I have done so pretty much amazing things but I still want to do more. I want to see the world, get touched spiritually and emotionally by incredible individuals, hopefully bring joy to all of those around me, laugh more, cry less, regret less, write more, cook more and live each day to its fullest. He doesn't even need to ask

Over a month ago, I watched the absolutely beautiful My Own Private Idaho . I had a bit of a revelation after watching the film. Which is kind of interesting because it has nothing to do with the themes that were brought up in the film. If you have not watched My Own Private Idaho , I suggest that you check it out. It is hauntingly beautiful and River Phoenix is such a beautiful soul. Anyways, back to the topic of my post. I was thinking about how beautiful Keanu Reeves looked in the movie and how he could seriously get it. Jokingly I said to myself that "he doesn't even need to ask". Then a light bulb went off in my head. What exactly was I insinuating by that remark. Was I suggesting that because he was so attractive he does not need to ask for my permission to have sexual relations with me? After much thought, I realized that was what I was suggesting.
