Paradise

Coldplay never seizes to amaze me. Whenever they have a new record I always think there is no way they can top themselves. Clocks, Viva La Vida and Yellow are masterpieces but their new song Paradise is on a whole another level. I have never heard a song that outlined my inner turmoil quite the way Paradise does. It is more than beautiful, its bewitching and enchanting . Maybe I find it completely flawless because it is song that I feel with every fiber of my being. Almost like an outer body experience whenever the song plays. What I love so much about the video is that it takes place in Africa(specifically South Africa).  Well here it is.

Walking My Own Path

I guess this is a continuation from my previous post but even-though it follows the same train of thoughts the anger has dwindle a bit. Over the past three years I have experienced ten lifetimes. I have laughed and I have cried but throughout the storm of it all I have grown stronger. What I know for sure is that life is a beautiful twisted adventure. Just because something is beautiful does not mean it won't hurt or be tumultuous. It is during the dark hours you really come to appreciate the luminous ones.  It is the recovery from the pain that makes it so fascinating. This adventure is one that we all must partake alone. We will meet friends and strangers along the way. All will influence the journey in both positive and negative ways. Even though we might want them to come with us they are not the ones walking the path, we are. Some will encourage you to go the distance and others might attempt to sabotage your route . Now more than ev...

Don't freaking tell me what to do

Nothing gets my blood boiling and heart pounding than people telling me what to do.  I am not talking about orders or directions that your boss or teacher may give you. I am talking about people trying to dictate what I should do with my life because they know what is best. I am talking about people who try to make you feel bad about the decisions you make because it is not the "right" thing to do, according to them. Everyone has an opinion about how I should live my life and luckily for me they have no qualms in sharing it with me . Well opinions are like assholes, everyone has them but some are full of more shit than others. Honestly, I do not care what you have say. Nobody asked you! Life is a journey and everyone has their own path to take. When you are spending time looking at someone else path you stumble on your own. So do me a favor and stick to your own path. We are born alone and we die alone, so mind your own damn business .

Don't Press that Dial

I have been away from the blogosphere for few months due to a horrific chain of events that transpired in my life. I will not be discussing it right now because I am not in a right state of mind to fully express how I felt during this past few months. I just arrived back from my trip on Saturday and I have been overdosing on some good food for the ears. I felt that it would be only fair to share the songs that I have been on repeat. 1. David Guetta Featuring Usher- Without You My feel good song of the moment.  2. Bruno Mars- It Will Rain  All I can say is wow. The return of the soundtrack in a huge way. This song is absolutely stunning  3. Dev- In the Dark What a sexy club song. Be careful who you dance next to when the track comes on.

Food for the Ear

Here is some good music that is in need of much exposure. The lovely JoJo is back with vengeance. Her vocals in this track is a-ma-zing! Now hopefully the radio will jump on this song and make it a smash hit for this underrated talent.

Do we really know?

I know what you are going through Can human beings empathize with one another? When someone tells you that they know how you are feeling or what you are going through, is that an accurate statement? We all go through emotions but we all do not experience them on the same level. I guess we have been trained what emotions to expect from people when they hear the unexpected. If someone gets a promotion, we expect them to be elated. If someone is having a baby we expect them to be ecstatic. When someone loses a loved one we expect them to cry. But what happens when people do not react to the news like how you were trained to think they should. Would you tell me them to stop expressing themselves because it is not how they should behave? Lets say the person who got a promotion threw a  fit because they could not handle something so amazing happening to them; the parents to be started crying because a baby was not apart of their plans, or the grieving person punches the wall. Would ...

Every once and awhile I like to sprinkle my blog with music videos that I absolutely adore.  Today I present to you When the Lights Go Ou t by 5ive. Now this video is not the creme de la creme but its such a huge part of my childhood that it has a special place in my heart. It brings back memories when everything with pop and nothing hurt. Sit back and enjoy  the sounds of the 90s pop music.
