Spring Favorites: Little Mix

Throughout the spring, I am going to be sharing with you things that I love. Here is the first installment of my Spring Favorites. 

There is this amazing girl group by the name of Little Mix, perhaps you have heard of them. They are criminally overlooked, so I have made it my mission to get the word out. These girls are serving 90's/ early 00's girl band realness. I am going to prove to you in five simple steps why you should be fangirling over Little Mix as hard as me.

2. Sales aren't everything but...
Their most recent album Get Weird has sold over 650,000 copies worldwide. The majority of that amount has been in the UK alone. Where they have sold half a million copies. Get Weird outsold Made in the AM in the UK last year. They outsold freaking One Direction. That fact blows my mind. Yet people don't make a big fuss about them.

3. Secret  Love Song

I am not crazy about this music video, but this song is amazing. I would have preferred it if they visualized the aspects of being in a forbidden romance. It would have been a powerful experience, watching the video. 
This song has potential to be their breakout hit if their management ever gets around to promoting it properly. As of right now this song is only a single in the UK and Ireland. Despite that fact, it has charted in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia. 

4. Get Weird Tour
For a group that naysayers have called irrelevant, they do seem to be  in high demand. They are currently on their Get Weird Tour and are performing to sold out crowds. They are even selling more tickets than they have sold album in some countries.

5. Cannonball

This was how I was first introduced to this band. I feel that they did justice by Damien Rice which is a difficult feat.  Watch this video and try not to cry. It is amazing how far they have come since winning X- Factor.
